The theme of the novel is the exploration of the question, "What would it be like to be the `toxic` friend you know is bad for you?"

She soon discovers that her selfishness and fantasy life may have trapped her in a situation she cannot escape from.

Greg Liberman has always been fascinated by the psychology related to the interaction between men and women. He also enjoys fantasy literature, music and pop literature. Liberman resides in Toronto with his wife and two children.
